Brent Bartlett
Project Engineer

Brent Bartlett was the first in-house staff engineer to be added to Turbo Solutions Engineering LLC. He is responsible for engineering efforts on a wide variety of projects. With more than nine years of engineering experience, in both turbomachinery and industrial plasma cutting, he is well-equipped to perform aerodynamic and hydrodynamic design and analysis of components, and integrate components in complete models of fluid systems and thermodynamic cycles. His experience includes meanline design, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, solid modeling, mechanical design, system and cycle analysis, laboratory testing and data reduction. Brent has authored and co-authored papers on the design and analysis of pumps, fans, compressors, and turbines.

Brent worked as a Plasma Process Engineer for Hypertherm where he performed mechanical design, fluid and thermal analysis, and used Design-of-Experiments (DOE) statistical methods to develop plasma arc cutting parts and processes. Brent also worked at Concepts NREC where he performed meanline design and analysis of pumps, fans, compressors, and turbines, as well as CFD analyses on a wide variety of rotating and stationary components in fluid systems.

Brent graduated from Clarkson University with B.S. degrees in both Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering in 2000. He also earned a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont in 2005. He is an active member of AIAA and ASME.
