Eric Wood
Hardware Specialist
Eric has been involved with turbomachinery R&D for over 30 years. Starting at Avco Lycoming—which later became Textron Lycoming—he worked many years in the mechanical components labs, moved on to compressor development testing, and finished his eleven year tenure in the environmental test cells. Most recently he worked at Concepts NREC for twenty years as the test lab supervisor. There, he worked on all aspects of development work including the construction of new test cells and rig assembly, as well as aerodynamic and structural test data acquisition. He is recognized as one of the leading test technicians in the field, producing outstanding, repeatable test results.
Eric is a graduate of the East Coast Aero Technical Institute where he earned his Airframe and Powerplant license. He has worked with many local schools and science centers helping develop programs to give kids a true hands-on learning experience in the engineering fields. He is a lifetime member of the AMA.
